Bourbon balls
A grown-up holiday classic — these actually improve after a day or two as the bourbon mellows into the mix.
You'll need
- 2½ cups finely crushed vanilla wafers
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
- ¼ cup bourbon
- 2 tbsp. honey; powdered sugar for coating
How to make them
- Combine crushed wafers, pecans and cocoa in a bowl.
- Stir in bourbon and honey until the mixture holds together when pressed.
- Roll into small balls and coat in powdered sugar.
- Store in an airtight container at least a day before serving.
