Chocolate dipped candy canes

An easy upgrade to a store-bought candy cane — five minutes of effort for a much more giftable result.

You'll need

• 12 candy canes
• 1½ cups melted chocolate (dark, milk or white)
• Crushed nuts or sprinkles

How to make them

1. Dip the straight end of each candy cane into melted chocolate, about a third of the way up.
2. Roll immediately in crushed nuts or sprinkles.
3. Set on parchment to harden, about 20 minutes.
4. Wrap individually in cellophane for gifting.
