Spice ornaments

Built entirely from whole spices, these ornaments look rustic and elegant, and scent the tree naturally without any dough or baking.

You'll need

• Cinnamon sticks
• Whole star anise
• Dried orange slices
• Twine or thin ribbon

How to make them

1. Bundle 3–4 cinnamon sticks together and tie tightly with twine, leaving a loop for hanging.
2. Tuck a star anise and a small dried orange slice into the twine wrap.
3. Repeat to make a set, varying the arrangement slightly for visual interest.
4. Hang directly on the tree — no sealant needed.
